Here I am playing with words again. The caption "Fierce Canabulls" may be a bit hard to read.

Most people have heard of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and when I did my due dilligence I discovered there is a fifth. This is what I found:

"Most Bible students focus only on the first four horsemen of Revelation 6. The phrase "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" is synonymous with frightening prophecies. But there is another horseman—a fifth, whose ride signifies a much different future and brings promise of a far better age to come." The Good News, A Magazine of Understanding

What they failed to mention? ....  there is a sixth horseman.

So, today's the day. Today I roll a couple of my current creations. I still have a few drawings left from my earlier times but those are from a time when my creativity was limited by how I perceived my world. Gone is the fear of what may offend some people. I'm drawing for me now and it deinitely shows.

I love playing with words. I carry a small notepad and pen with me. I never know when a word or phrase will catch my attention. The inspiration for this one came to me as I was listening to a radio show and  the guest mentioned the back side of the moon. Why do we rarely, if ever, see photos?

Wow! ... this is my 9th post and nobody's followed me home and burned down my house. So far so good .... (note to self: renew homeowners insurance.)

You'd think Dr. Frankenstein's monster would have been unstoppable on the football field. Well ....

Had Norman Rockwell painted nursery rhymes .... hmmmm .....

Ever wonder what could be going through an indoor cat's mind as it watches the goings on of the world outside? ... the taunting of those pesky old crows?

I found this in one of my old sketch books. Crows and buzzards ... interesting creatures indeed.

I heard someplace an artist's deepest subconscious thoughts can come through in his or her work. That being said, I think I'm in trouble. When I get to posting my current stuff you'll definitely see what I'm saying!

Wednesday April 13, 2011

I'm posting a half day early this week. I've a busy day planned tomorrow and I wanted to be sure I didn't miss getting these beauties(?) out.
This one, titled "Divine Internevtion", goes out to my Harley pals out there. Well, Reg and Kerry N. for sure. I personally don't ride but I love the machines ... some are such amazing works of art.

Pretty sure I was having a Zen moment when the inspiration for this one hit me. Hmmmm ... Elk Lake is beckoning ....

.... so how am I doin' so far?  Feel free to comment.
Until next week ......
