I heard someplace an artist's deepest subconscious thoughts can come through in his or her work. That being said, I think I'm in trouble. When I get to posting my current stuff you'll definitely see what I'm saying!

I'm posting a half day early this week. I've a busy day planned tomorrow and I wanted to be sure I didn't miss getting these beauties(?) out.

This one, titled "Divine Internevtion", goes out to my Harley pals out there. Well, Reg and Kerry N. for sure. I personally don't ride but I love the machines ... some are such amazing works of art.

Pretty sure I was having a Zen moment when the inspiration for this one hit me. Hmmmm ... Elk Lake is beckoning ....

During the 1980's and 90's Gary Larson was a huge influence on me. His "out of the box" view slayed me every time. I finally found someone who sees the world the way I did, and still do.

His influence is especially evident in this weeks offerings. The above drawing (taken from my sketchbook) came about as I was thinking "what would it be like for Gumby and Pokey if they were to explore the desert?" .... ever seen what happens to a crayon left on the dashboard of the car in the hot sun?

The second drawing evolved from the first. Something about buzzards ... I love 'em.

If the caption's hard to read it's "Did anybody think to bring a straw?"
